Terms and Conditions of Use

These General Terms and Conditions of Use (hereinafter "Terms") govern access to and use of the GLOBAL SAR HUB website (www.globalsarhub.com), including its interactive platforms "SeaSAR" and "AirSAR," which provide information related to maritime and aerial rescue centers worldwide. By accessing and using this site, the user (hereinafter referred to as the "User") unconditionally accepts these Terms, as well as all applicable laws and regulations. The purpose of these Terms is to define the terms of access, use, and management of services offered by GLOBAL SAR HUB. They outline the rights and obligations of Users, as well as the responsibilities of GLOBAL SAR HUB. These Terms may be modified at any time without notice to adapt to legislative, regulatory, technological changes, or for any other reason deemed necessary by GLOBAL SAR HUB. It is the User's responsibility to regularly review the Terms for updates. By using the services of GLOBAL SAR HUB, the User acknowledges having read these Terms and agrees to fully comply with them. Users are encouraged to read the entirety of the Terms carefully to understand the rules governing their use of the website. Any violation of these Terms may result in appropriate legal actions, including suspension of access to services or other actions provided by law. • All information, data, and content available on the interactive platforms "SeaSAR" and "AirSAR" are the exclusive property of the creators of GLOBAL SAR HUB, who have delegated the management of these elements to the non-profit organization GLOBAL SAR HUB. The data made available on the site is provided solely for informational purposes and may not be used for commercial purposes without the prior express written authorization of GLOBAL SAR HUB. Any reproduction, modification, distribution, extraction, scraping, or any other form of use of the data without explicit consent is strictly prohibited and may result in legal action. In particular, GLOBAL SAR HUB cannot be held responsible for any direct or indirect damage resulting from an inability to contact a Rescue Coordination Center (RCC) or any failure in communication between RCCs, including in cases of critical emergencies or severe consequences such as loss of life.

Any exploitation of the data for malicious purposes, including but not limited to, harassment of rescue centers or any illegal activity, is strictly prohibited. 5. Compliance with Laws and Regulations:

In the event of a suspected intellectual property rights violation, GLOBAL SAR HUB also reserves the right to use technical means, such as identifying the IP addresses of the concerned users, to investigate violations and take the necessary actions to enforce its rights.

Article 4: Donations and Support

1. Collection of Donations:

• GLOBAL SAR HUB provides users with a dedicated donation page, which redirects to a secure payment platform. Donations made are entirely voluntary and spontaneous. In return for donations, no advantage, service, or special privilege is granted to donors, and they have no particular oversight over the management of the funds.

2. Use of Donations:

• Funds collected through donations are exclusively used to support the activities of GLOBAL SAR HUB as a non-profit organization. Donations are allocated to the management, development, and continuous improvement of the services offered on the site, including, but not limited to, mapping platforms and other Search and Rescue tools. GLOBAL SAR HUB is not obligated to provide an individual report on the use of funds to each donor, except to continue pursuing its projects and objectives in line with its mission and thanks to the financial support received.

3. Transparency and Fund Management:

• Donations are managed transparently by GLOBAL SAR HUB in accordance with applicable laws and regulations governing non-profit organizations. GLOBAL SAR HUB reserves the right not to provide specific communication on the allocation of donations, except where a legal obligation requires it. GLOBAL SAR HUB commits to using the funds appropriately and in accordance with its statutory objectives.

4. No Refunds:

• Donations made to GLOBAL SAR HUB are considered final and irrevocable. No refund will be granted, except under specific legal provisions. By making a donation, donors acknowledge and accept this non-refund condition.

Article 5: Limitation of Liability

• GLOBAL SAR HUB strives to update the information related to Rescue Coordination Centers (RCCs) available on the site on a quarterly basis. However, some rescue centers may not respond to inquiries from GLOBAL SAR HUB, requiring the completion of information using publicly available data on the internet. Consequently, GLOBAL SAR HUB does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information provided at any time. GLOBAL SAR HUB expressly disclaims any liability for modifications not communicated by RCCs or any inaccuracies in the information available on the site.

2. Use of Information:

• The information available on the GLOBAL SAR HUB website is provided for informational purposes only and should not be interpreted as official, professional, or comprehensive information. Users are expressly invited to consult official sources and verify the accuracy and relevance of the information before making any decisions based on the data provided by GLOBAL SAR HUB. 3. Limitation of Liability for Damages:

GLOBAL SAR HUB plays no role in coordinating or making operational decisions for RCCs.

5. Proper Use of Services:

• Users are required to use the services provided by GLOBAL SAR HUB in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations in their jurisdiction. GLOBAL SAR HUB shall not be held liable for any misuse, illegal, or non-compliant use of the information or services offered on the site. Any violation of these rules may result in appropriate legal actions, depending on the severity of the violation.

Article 6: Privacy and Data Protection

1. Collection of Personal Data:

• GLOBAL SAR HUB exclusively collects users' email addresses who register for webinars or newsletters through the site.
